About Madelyn

Madelyn Queen is a speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA). Madelyn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Sciences and a minor in Spanish from the University of Northern Colorado. She earned her Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certificate post-baccalaureate from the University of Colorado, at Boulder. Following graduation, Madelyn spent time working as a baker and a gardener before moving to Italy for 4 months.

Upon her return to the United States, Madelyn began her career in speech pathology, working primarily with bilingual toddlers in inner-city Denver. Madelyn then moved to Colorado Springs to work in a rural school district where she developed a love for teaching pragmatic language skills across all ages, working with children who have apraxia, and teaching language acquisition to children with AAC devices.

In her five years as an SLPA, Madelyn has gained years of experience throughout the various settings she has been in. She is passionate about working at Blossoming Minds Therapy, especially because of the individualized and tailored intervention that allows each child to be successful in their communication. Outside of work, you can find Madelyn cooking, hiking, caring for her plants, spending time with her beloved nieces and nephews, or making ceramics.
