About Danielle
Danielle Burnham is a certified speech-language pathologist assistant (SLPA) with a background in both special education and autism. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Drury University in 2006 and worked as a teacher’s assistant with special education students for five years at the start of her career. Most recently, in 2024, Danielle graduated with another Bachelor of Science degree in communication sciences and disorders from Abilene Christian University. She completed her clinical externship with a local school district, where she provided speech therapy services for elementary-age students across a variety of needs and disorders. Danielle will be joining the speech-language pathology graudate student cohort at Abilene Christian University beginning in the fall of 2026, further supporting her in this field.
Danielle's passion for the field of speech-language pathology grew after her son was diagnosed as nonverbal. Finding ways to help her son communicate fueled her desire to go back to college and learn more about communication disorders, as well as prompted her desire to support other families through working in the field of speech-language pathology. Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending her free time with her husband and children.
